VITAMIN C
Vitamin C (J Cardiovasc Pharmacol. 2002 Dec;40(6):890-7.) greatly enhances NOS activity by increasing something called intracellular tetrahydrobiopterin. This is a very inexpensive and highly efficacious way to extend the effects of arginine/NO based vasodilation and I am stunned that no other company before Gaspari Nutrition opted to add sufficiently effective amounts of Vitamin C to their Arginine based, NO mediated supplements. For literally pennies (Vitamin C is very inexpensive) a company can make any Arginine based NO supplement from 29%-85%+ more effective at preventing decrease of vascular tone and attenuation. Yes you read that correctly, universal animal pak up to 85% more effective just by adding a good dose of Vitamin C. Vitamin C seems to have a tangible, beneficial effect on NO bioavailability induced by Arginine too (Heart. 2005 Oct;91(10):1319-23.). So it’s really stupid not to have substantial amounts of Vitamin C with any Arginine based product!
Creatine AAB (Creatine Alpha-Amino-N-Butyrate): The final creatine analog in AVPT. As with the previous analogs, absorption and effectiveness are greatly increased, increasing ATP production and thus anabolic effects. Unlike the other creatine analogs of the matrix, Creatine Alpha-Amino-N-Butyrate posseses anti-catabolic effects also. Leucine, the branched chain amino acid, is metabolized to ketoisocaproate, which is then metabolized to alpha amino-n-butyrate; this metabolite increases protein synthesis and minimizes protein cytosport muscle milk damage from intense training. Not only is creatine absoprtion and effectiveness increased by this bond, but an element of anabolism and anti-catabolism is obtained.
